Open Internet Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026NPTech, including Community Fiber and related service divisions, is committed to an open internet experience and to reasonable, transparent network management practices that protect customers and network reliability.
Transparency
We disclose information about network management practices, performance, and commercial terms so customers can make informed decisions about broadband service. Plan details, pricing, fees, promotional terms, speeds, and service labels may be shown during the availability and signup process or provided by customer support.
No Blocking
We do not block lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices, subject to reasonable network management, legal requirements, security needs, and customer-selected controls.
No Throttling of Lawful Traffic
We do not degrade or impair lawful internet traffic based on content, application, service, user, or use of a non-harmful device, subject to reasonable network management and service plan limits.
No Paid Prioritization
We do not prioritize internet traffic in exchange for payment or to favor an affiliate in a way that harms customer access to lawful internet content, applications, or services.
Congestion Management
We design and operate the network to provide reliable service. During unusual congestion, outages, attacks, maintenance, or security events, we may use reasonable, generally accepted technical measures to preserve network availability and performance. These measures are intended to be application-neutral unless a specific security, abuse, or legal issue requires targeted action.
Security Practices
We may take action to protect the network, customers, and the public from spam, malware, denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized access, phishing, illegal content, copyright abuse, traffic that threatens network integrity, or other harmful activity.
Device Attachment
Customers may attach lawful, non-harmful, compatible devices to the service, subject to technical requirements and the Terms of Service. Devices must not damage the network, interfere with service, violate law, or bypass service controls.
Performance
Advertised speeds are based on the selected plan and network provisioning. Actual speeds and latency may vary based on equipment, Wi-Fi conditions, device capability, inside wiring, network conditions, internet destination, maintenance, outages, and other factors.
Privacy
Network management practices are not used to sell browsing history or build advertising profiles from the websites customers visit. See our Privacy Policy for additional information.
